Extreme wind chills are expected in Wheatland County near Strathmore, Lyalta, and Carseland.
"Extremely cold wind chill values between minus 40 and minus 45 are expected to develop overnight tonight," mentioned a news release from Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC).
According to ECCC, children, adults, people with chronic illnesses, people working outside and anyone without proper shelter are more susceptible to the extreme cold.
"Cover up. Frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially with wind chill. If it’s too cold for you to stay outside, it’s too cold for your pet to stay outside."
Wind chills will moderate by Monday afternoon.
