Philadephia Eagles fans are waking up feeling prideful after their team defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl LIX.

The Chiefs were trying to make history by becoming the first team to win three straight Super Bowls, but those dreams were quickly crushed after two-time NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes was intercepted twice and sacked six times by Philadelphia's defence.

Following their big win, Eagles Quarterback Jalen Hurts was asked by FOX Sports what it felt like to be a champion. He made sure God was front and centre when responding.

"God is good. He's greater than all the highs and the lows," said Hurts to FOX Sports. "Personally, I've been able to use every experience and learn from it, the good and the bad, using it as fuel to pursue my greatness."

Hurts said he couldn't have done anything without the great team he played with this season.

"We had a special group this year. We were able to learn from the past, get some nice new pieces and get over that hump."

Eagles head coach, Nick Sirianni also gave all credit to God following his team's win.

“God’s blessed us very much,” he said to FOX Sports. “He gave us all the talents to be able to get here, so first and foremost, thanks to Him. … Thank God, thank you Jesus.”

While being presented with the Super Bowl, Sirianni reacted again saying, "All glory to God."

This is the Eagles' second Super Bowl win in franchise history. Their first win came in 2017 when they defeated the New England Patriots 41-33 in Super Bowl LII.
