A weekend of flipped fortunes for the Humboldt Broncos picking up one win and a loss against the Kindersley Klippers during this weekend’s SJHL home and home pairing.

Things went the Brocnos way on Friday night out of town with a 3-1 win. Tyce Penrod picked up his second as a Bronco with an early unassisted marker. Marik Mamic took advantage of a too many men penalty against the Klippers for a power play effort just a few minutes later. Zakery Anderson tried to get the Klippers back into it near the 15-minute mark in the second, but Landen Stromme took the wind out of the Klippers’ sails late in the second for the game's final goal.

The tide changed on Saturday as the Broncos fell 3-0 in the home exchange. After a rough and tumble first period that saw fisticuffs, a couple of ejections, but no scoring, the Klippers Shayne Tibbles and Stein Dostal each picked up a goal in the second, and Cobe Perlinger punctuated the Klippers effort with an empty netter in the final minute. Broncos netminder Dazza Mitchell stopped 30 of 33 on the evening with Cody Jaman for Kindersley earning the shutout against 42 shots.

The Broncos get set for another home and home this weekend against the Battlefords North Stars. The away game goes at 7:30 on Friday and the return game starts at 5:00 pm on Saturday following the Alumni Game. Catch both Friday and Saturday's main events right here on 107.5 Bolt FM
