A utility trailer was destroyed after it caught fire Thursday morning in Morden.

According to the city's Fire Chief, Andy Thiessen, the trailer was full of cellulose insulation, and the engine used to run the mixer/blower had caught some loose insulation on fire.

Thiessen ended up hooking up to the trailer and pulling it away in order to save the house it was next to. Fire fighters then extinguished the blaze and hauled the insulation to a safe spot.

Thiessen says his service truck sustained some damage in the process, but noted it was nothing major.

No injuries or other damage was reported.
