On Tuesday, Feb. 11, the 54th Annual Juno Awards released their list of nominees for this year's Canadian music awards show.
This year the Christian category was almost cancelled, alongside Reggae, and Children's Album of the Year, but after widespread advocacy from Canadian music supporters, they decided to keep these categories for the 2025 Junos.
The nominees for Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year include the following Christian artists:
- elenee Elenee Independent
- My Foundation Jordan St. Cyr Independent*The Orchard
- Restore Ryan Ofei Independent*Platoon/Believe
- Miracle In The Making Tehillah Worship Independent
- Hymns Alive (Live) Toronto Mass Choir Independent*Believe
St. Cyr, who currently lives in Tennessee with his wife and their four children, are originally from Niverville, Manitoba. This is St. Cyr's second time being nominated for a Juno award after winning the Juno in March 2023.
This is the first time that Saskatchewan artist Elenee has been nominated.
This year's awards show will take place in Vancouver on March 30, 2025, and will be hosted by Canadian icon Michael Bublé.
