The City of Chestermere wants residents to voice their opinions on secondary suites and short-term rentals.
“Secondary suite means a self-contained, secondary dwelling Unit that is located within the principle dwelling Unit, where both dwelling units are registered under the same land title; contains a kitchen, living, sleeping and sanitary facilities and is used or designed to be used as a residence by one or more persons; and that is secondary to the main residential use on the parcel," said the city in a news release.
According to the city, short term rentals offer living spaces for rent for 30 days or less.
Each survey asks residents if they support having them in every community in Chestermere.
They also pose questions to residents about what their concerns would be if the suites were brought in along with the potential benefits of the suites in the city.
The surveys wrap up on Friday, Feb. 14 and can be filled out here.
