Several scams impersonating Peavey Mart have been popping up just weeks after the hardware store chain announced its closure.
In a post made to Peavey Mart's Facebook page the chain warned customers about social media profiles and websites claiming to be the store.
"Please be cautious and verify sources before engaging with any online offers. If a website is not peaveymart.com, it is not our website," wrote the chain. "Similarly, if a social media page does not carry the verified 'Peavey Mart' name and checkmark, it is not affiliated with us."
The chain added that they do not accept online orders, and that all sales must be made in-store.

All 90 Peavey Mart's throughout Canada including Strathmore will be closing by the end of April, with gift cards expiring at the end of February.
Until the closure there is a storewide liquidation sale advertising up to 30 per cent off certain products.
