Brian Doerksen is back with a heartfelt new song, “We're Not Alone”, which is all about love that lasts a lifetime. He recently shared that he was in a season of writing love songs focused on staying in love, rather than just falling in love.
"There aren’t as many songs about the beauty and challenges of long-lasting love," he said.
Sitting at the piano, his hands naturally landed on a C Major 7 chord, and the lyrics began to flow. This deep love and commitment became the heart of the song, inspired by his wife, Joyce, who has been his steady companion through everything.
“We’re Not Alone” is part of Brian’s new album, “Love for a Lifetime”, which features 12 songs celebrating enduring love. One special touch in the song is the beautiful saxophone played by Oliver Miguel, adding a timeless, romantic feel.
"I think the saxophone is one of the most romantic instruments in the world," Brian noted.
The single will be released on Valentine’s Day, followed by A Love That Doesn’t Fade and This Is Our, with the full album available on May 9th.
Brian hopes his music reminds listeners that true love is about commitment and being there for each other through all of life's challenges.
