Just after 4 p.m., Airdrie RCMP advised that the collision scene on Range Road 13 is now clear, and traffic can proceed.
Earlier, RCMP confirmed that a propane truck had rolled over on Range Road 13, between Township Road 264 and Highway 566, just west of Airdrie city limits.
Crews were on the scene working to offload the propane. RCMP stated there was no risk to the public, and no injuries were reported.
Motorists were initially advised to avoid the area, as traffic was blocked. They were then encouraged to take an alternate route.
Earlier reports suggested a truck had flipped into the ditch near Range Road 13 and Yankee Valley Boulevard, though RCMP later clarified the location.
Winter driving conditions remained in effect across the region. While the QEII from Calgary to the north of Highway 2A was mostly bare and dry, drivers were warned about icy shoulders, slippery sections, blowing snow, and icy wheel paths. Snowfall was expected to further impact visibility and road conditions.
