Love is in the air this Valentine's Day and that includes one Carseland woman and her family.
Jenn Cook lives in the area along with her family and her boyfriend.
Her Valentine's Day story goes all the way back to December 16, 1989, to when the couple met when they were teenagers.
She met her boyfriend Gerry at a house party in Inglewood in Calgary and also knew him through her brother as they were best friends.
Cook explained that a McDonald's burger is what sold her on her partner.
"A few of us went to McDonald’s and long story short my order was missing so Gerry offered his burger to me. That was it I fell head over heels for him."
Jenn and Gerry now have two adult children together. However, Jenn said the pair never got married legally.
"But we say we are after that many years together it’s marriage."
For sharing her story Jenn walked away with some flowers from Pistil & Stems Floral Boutique in Strathmore.
