Emergency crews responded to several motor vehicle collisions across the region as winter weather impacted driving conditions.
In Calgary, a northbound crash was reported on Deerfoot Trail near Beddington Trail NW, and motorists were advised to drive cautiously. Another collision occurred eastbound on Stoney Trail between 14 Street NW and Harvest Hills Boulevard N, causing delays.
Earlier Friday, Airdrie Mounties confirmed that a propane truck rolled over on Range Road 13, between Township Road 264 and Highway 566. Crews remained on the scene to offload propane, though the RCMP stated there was no risk to the public and no injuries were reported. The road has since re-opened.
Tonight, conditions will be partly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of flurries and winds up to 15 km/h. Temperatures are expected to drop to -30°C, with wind chills of -22 this evening and -36 overnight. The risk of frostbite is high.
