If families are ready to brave the cold, there are a few fun things to do on Family Day this year in Strathmore and the surrounding area.
Strathmore Minor Hockey U7/U9 tournament: The organization is hosting a U7-U9 tournament during the weekend at the Strathmore Family Centre Arena and the Standard Arena.
Drumheller Family Fun Day: Drumheller is running a day of festivities at the BCF, Aquaplex & Memorial Arena from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. There will be a bouncy castle, free hot chocolate, Bannock Tacos, and a free public skate.
Chestermere Minor Hockey Association U7 Ironman Tournament: Players will compete at the Chestermere Regional Community Association as members of the U7 Chestermere Lakers compete for gold. Games will run throughout the day.
