Police are looking for a woman who is said to be involved in identity fraud.
"On Dec. 10, 2024, an unidentified female attended the ATB bank in Three Hills. She provided the bank teller with a fake Alberta driver’s license in an account holder's name and attempted to deposit a cheque. The bank teller recognized that the driver’s license was not authentic and prevented the release of funds," mentioned an RCMP news release.
According to police, they're asking the public for help to find her.
Residents can call Three Hills RCMP at 403-443-5539 or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) if they have any information about the investigation.
Three Hills is located in Kneehill County, which is an 87-kilometre drive from Strathmore.
