Three people have been arrested for a series of break and enters in the Rocky View County area.
Earlier this month, Alberta RCMP and Calgary police investigated a series of break ins throughout Calgary and six separate RCMP jurisdictions.
According to police, the suspects broke into autobody shops and dealerships, stealing vehicles and their keys. In total, 18 vehicles were stolen, and 15 were recovered.
On Feb. 4 police conducted a search warrant at a home near Calgary, recovering three vehicles and two semi-trailers that were reported stolen out of Alberta and British Columbia.
Another search warrant was executed on Feb. 13, recovering a stolen Ford F150 and two other vehicles from a residence in northwest Calgary. Police also discovered several fraudulent identity documents.
Sebastien Robichaud, a 33-year-old resident of Calgary, was arrested and handed over 40 charges, including 16 counts of failing to comply with probation, and several provincial driving offenses.
Shawn Markwart, 43, and Ryan Satre, 31, were also charged and kept in custody. Their court dates are set for Feb. 19.
Robichaud is expected to appear in a Calgary court on Mar. 4.
