Rocky View Schools (RVS) has announced a new Superintendent of Schools that will take the reins of the division in the fall.
Ryan Reed was selected by the Board of Trustees and will start his new position on Sept. 1.
Reed is the current Director of Schools in Cochrane, Airdrie, and Crossfield.
"His focus on building strong relationships and effective systems has helped strengthen teams and improve educational outcomes. As RVS navigates growing enrolments, increasing complexities, and shifting demands, Reed's strategic leadership will be essential in supporting the Board and RVS’ 3,000 employees to ensure every student learns, belongs, and succeeds," added RVS.
Reed will be taking over from Greg Luterbach who was the superintendent for the past nine years.
“It is an honour, and I am humbled to have this opportunity to serve as Superintendent of Schools,” said Reed. “I look forward to working with the Board and my colleagues to advance the Board’s Strategic Plan priorities and the goals of RVS’ Education Plan.”
RVS also has facilities in Chestermere and Langdon.
