Country music artist Drew Gregory has unveiled his new EP called 'One For The Road'.
The six-song EP dropped early Friday morning.
Gregory told StrathmoreNow that the song itself holds a special meaning for him.
"It just kind of talks about the road between my hometown of Standard out here between it and the farm. I could just about drive that road blindfolded."
Gregory also cited memories he has of the road growing up.
"The whole EP has that coming home kind of feeling to it."
He said several songs like 'Neon Time', 'This Side of the Dirt', and a few new ones will round out the EP.
Gregory mentioned that this is the first EP that the band has released under Willing Records.
He added that he's been fortunate to have two careers in the music industry and as a farmer.
"The farm grounds me a little bit I guess and gives me that chance for a lot of time to go back and forth in a tractor to come up with song ideas," joked Gregory.
The winter is meant for the creative side and getting into the studio to record while during the summer he farms during the week and performs during the weekend across the prairies.
"We had a few dates out in Ontario last year. Keeping it growing, I think it's just a great opportunity in both industries for me to grow."
According to Gregory, he's going to keep doing what he loves for as long as he can.
