Langdon Firehouse Bar & Grill is bringing a karaoke contest to the area next month.
Starting on Mar. 5 the Total Package 2.0 contest begins, with battle rounds of karaoke singers competing for a $1,000 cash prize. The event will run until Apr. 23.
"Last year was insane. I can't remember how many contestants we had, but most of the nights you couldn't even find a spot to sit in here," said Aleesha Gosling, owner of the firehouse. "The talent is incredible. The people that come should be professionals."
There are special guest judges who will rank the singer's based on crowd interaction, costume, energy, and performance. According to Gosling, professionals are not allowed to take part in the competition. This includes paid musicians and former winners.
Gosling added that there will be one fan vote wild card in the contest.
"We can't have it always a fan vote, because some people with come in with a lot of people."
Although registration is not required for the event, Gosling recommends that you reach out to the firehouse, as spots for the contest are filling up fast.
This is the third year that the Langdon Firehouse Bar & Grill has held the event, which is emceed by resident karaoke host Todd Gallant.
