Three men are facing multiple charges after a police pursuit that began in North Battleford and ended on the Red Pheasant First Nation.
Battlefords RCMP received a report of gunfire on the night of February 14, around 10:45 p.m. Investigators determined shots were fired from a vehicle carrying three individuals. No injuries were reported.
Officers quickly located the suspect vehicle in a business parking lot on 99th Street, but the driver fled when police arrived. RCMP attempted a traffic stop, but the vehicle did not stop, prompting a pursuit. Police deployed a tire deflation device, but the vehicle continued southbound through Battleford to the Red Pheasant First Nation.
With assistance from RCMP Police Dog Services and the Saskatoon Police Service, officers searched the area. At approximately 12:30 a.m. on February 15, they found the suspect vehicle stuck in a ditch on the Red Pheasant First Nation. One suspect was arrested at the scene.
The investigation revealed the vehicle had been stolen earlier that night. Police also found a firearm and a magazine nearby.
Shortly after, officers received information that the two remaining suspects were at a residence on Red Pheasant First Nation. Police attended the residence and arrested both individuals.
