Laurie Tiffany Kabestra - Laurie Jon February 12, 1989 - October 9, 2021 Pizhew (Lynx Clan) O'dotem

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Laurie Kabestra, beloved daughter, sister, niece, cousin, granddaughter and friend unexpectedly began her journey to the spirit world.

Laurie was born at Lake of the Woods Hospital in Kenora, Ontario. She was loved by many, she was an outgoing fun loving beautiful spiritual soul. She loved cheering on Datsyuk a big fan of the Red Wings & Tampa bay's Stamkos.

Laurie will be forever cherished and remembered by her mom, Holly and her dad Jamie, who raised Laurie since she was a toddler: her sisters Lavonne (Brian), Raya (Craig), Jamie Girl; common-law partner, Darcy Tom; her piggy's - as she would call them, nephews Garcien Jimmy, Lidell Leland and Grayson Whistler, her nieces Elsa ivy, Sara Nico, Emily Alice, her beloved boys she called her own, Jordanson Nash, Carter Nash, Jacoby Nash and young Charlie.

Her aunties Pchz (Teddy), Kristol Bird, Phyllis, uncles Lambert, a father figure who raised and spoiled her with love, Blondie, Tiger (Rebecca) and Jim. Lamont Kabestra (father), aunt Darlene and Nellie, uncle Kelvin Redsky.

She was called upon to be with her beloved ones in the Spirit World, her daanis Angel Bouchie, Kokum Shob, Kokum Barbara, auntie Mary, brother Nico Milo, aunt-in-law Rhonda Paypompee, uncles Gary, Melvin and Ronnie and her friend Ashley Joelle and her dog Loki.

Laurie will be deeply missed by her childhood friends, Chelsea Paypompee, Tracy White, Larissa (Lars) Adams, Karlina Tom, Rianna White, Frieda Cowley, Sunny Sky, her BFF Bonita Kavanaugh, friends Sherri Henry, Lindsey Hill, Melinda Jack, Aretha Paypompee, Shannon Anderson, Serena White and many more friends and relatives too numerous to mention, her brother's CJ, Braydon, Pharoah, Chikey and Calvin O.

A wake service for Laurie will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2021 beginning at 1:00 pm at Peshigoneb Community Centre, Whitefish Bay, Ontario. A funeral service will occur Thursday, October 21, 2021 beginning at 11:00 am at Peshigoneb Community Centre with Elder Tom Councillor from Niacatchewenin with burial to follow.
