The Agra Risk Wheatland Kings are one loss away from being taken out of the playoffs.

The Kings are currently in a best-of-five series against the Medicine Hat Cubs. Both teams faced off twice over the weekend, with the Cubs taking home both wins.

In the first game, the Cubs won 5-2 and in the second match, they defeated the Kings 3-2.

"It was a rough weekend, but it's not over yet. We're still very much in this," said general manager Cody Holdaway.

Despite the losses, the team was still breaking records off the ice. According to Holdaway, there were around 600 people at Saturday's game, which was a franchise record for the highest attendance.

"Going into Sunday we were just hoping to bounce back," added Holdaway. "Ultimately, I think the boys played well in both games, but we couldn't pull it off."

The Kings will return to the Strathmore Family Centre on Wednesday, Feb. 26 for game three, with puck drop set for 8:15 p.m.

Free tickets for the game are available for youth at the 104.5 More Country station.
