Charity Golf Classic ready to strike a tee in Chestermere

The second annual Charity Golf Classic returns to the City of Chestermere this summer.

Last week the city announced that the event would be taking place at the Lakeside Greens Golf Club on June 26.

Last year proceeds from the event went towards the Municipality of Jasper for their wildfire recovery efforts, with the classic raising $83,000. Some funds were also given to the Chestermere Food Bank.

The recipient of this year's event has not been announced yet.

The tournament is open to golf enthusiasts, community leaders, and residents of all skill levels.
