for KING + COUNTRY has released a new rendition of a popular song first recorded by U2.
Earlier this month, the sibling duo announced that they had recorded "40" as the lead single for the upcoming Prime Video and Wonder Project original series House of David.
"We’re beside ourselves to finally let you in on this, family. Our very own rendition of U2’s anthemic ‘40’ is out now! A heartfelt take on Psalm 40," said the band on social media. "We’ve long been inspired by watching these 2-dimensional biblical epics be brought to 3-dimensional life on the big screen. A high honour to be included in this project, and grateful to U2 for entrusting us with this song."
House of David, directed by Jon Erwin and Jon Gunn, showcases King David's life.
The official performance video of "40" recorded live from the Grand Ole Opry House was officially released on Wednesday.
"If you joined us at the Grand Ole Opry this Christmas, you may just catch yourself in it."
House of David will start streaming on Thursday, Feb. 27
