The Town of Drumheller awarded several prizes to six lucky residents.

The Recreation, Arts, and Culture Department said it had a successful end to its 30-day Membership Drive.

"The drive was successful in expanding participation in local recreation programs. The innovative marketing campaign, which ran throughout the month, targeted occasional customers and prospective new members," said the town in a news release.

"It offered an exciting incentive to sign up for a one-year membership, paid in full and non-refundable, to receive a special gift pack and an entry for a chance to win incredible prizes."

According to the town, rewards and benefits are also available as part of memberships, and discounts on recreation programs and events.

“This success wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the staff and our amazing community,” said Rick Ladouceur, manager of the department.

In total, 240 new members signed up and received gift bags and t-shirts as part of the campaign.
