It's been a big year for Drew Gregory.

On Sunday, Mar. 2, Gregory was awarded the Horizon Male Artist of the Year at the 2025 Country Music Alberta Awards in Calgary.

"There's three rounds of nominations, so it's been going on for a half year now. The final round was last month, so we kind of knew we were in the top five in a few categories," said Gregory.

"It was pretty exciting. We hadn't won in our other categories, and it was the second or third last award, so it was our last chance of the night."

This isn't the first time that Gregory has been recognized by Country Music Alberta. Since beginning his career as a musician twelve years ago, Gregory has received five awards from the group.

"Hanging around that weekend is so fun for us. I love making friends more than the awards itself, but it's definitely the icing on the cake."

Although Gregory has recently released his newest album, he is already hard at work on more songs.

"We've got the whole summer already booked up, so we're planning into the future now that we've released some new music."

When he's not performing across the province, Gregory lives and works as a farmer near Standard.
