Strathmore residents should make sure to have their bags full of food and on their front porch by the early morning on Friday.
"Don't forget, we'll be picking up any filled bags for the food drive tomorrow, starting at 9 a.m. If you'd like to contribute non-perishable food items, please place it in the bag delivered to your place and leave it on the front porch. You can also drop off your donations at the Fire Hall," mentioned the Strathmore Fire Department in a Facebook post.
Staff with the department, along with members of the RCMP, and Family and Community Support Services dropped off the bags on Feb. 27 to help contribute to the Wheatland County Food Bank.
Urgently needed food items are needed like canned meat, canned soup, flour, sugar, soda crackers, shampoo, cereal, deodorant, diapers, and pancake mix.
