At the start of the next school year, Wheatland Crossing School near Strathmore will have a new principal.
On Thursday, Mar. 6, Golden Hills School Division (GHSD) announced that Ryan Hunter would be taking over the position.
"Ryan holds a Bachelor in Physical Education and Biology from Saint Francis Xavier University and a Bachelor of Education and Masters in Educational Leadership Studies from Memorial University of Newfoundland," wrote the division.
Hunter previously served as vice principal of Crowther Memorial Junior High School for the last eight years following his position as principal of Hill Crest Community School.
"He is a highly skilled administrator and classroom teacher with over 20 years of experience. His administrative and varied teaching background will serve him well in his new administrative role."
Hunter will begin his work as principal in September.
