It came down to the wire, but after scoring two in the 9th end, Team Dunstone watched as Team Gushue's final shot in the 10th was thin, leaving Manitoba the victory to advance to the gold medal game.

The early stages saw the lead change three times in the first three ends.

Dunstone managed to go up 1-0 after the 1st end.

Canada's Gushue responded with 2 in the 2nd, going up 2-1.

Manitoba's rink punched right back, putting up 2 of their own in the 3rd, making it a 3-2 match.

Canada tied it. Manitoba re-took the lead. Canada tied it again.

The score held 4-4 through the 7th end, and then the 8th.

In the 9th, Manitoba scored two with the hammer to take a 6-4 lead into the 10th.

By the tenth end, both teams were running dangerously low on time and it seemed as though that added pressure, on top of the trying to win their way to the gold medal game on Sunday, made it so both teams were not as sharp as they would of liked.

The 8-foot filled with stones for both teams.

Manitoba looked as though they were in a great position to set up some blocks but whether it was nerves or rushing against the clock, twice shots left just a small opening, keeping Canada's hopes alive.

With a chance to win, Canada with the hammer, went for take out that would have had them sitting 3, but instead, the shot ran thin after original contact and the lone stone in the house belonged to Manitoba, signaling the win.

Handshakes all-around and Dunstone, finally pulling off a playoff victory over Gushue, pumped his fists with excitement and relief.

Manitoba will watch as Canada battles Alberta in the afternoon, after Alberta defeated Manitoba's Team Carruthers earlier on Saturday.

Dunstone vs Canada or Alberta will be at 7:00 p.m. CST.
