Applications for the next Community Group Funding cycle beginning in 2026 are now open until April 30, 2025. Community Group Funding is a stream of City funding available for programs and services run by community groups that benefit the community and residents.
Community Group Funding was updated for the next funding cycle, with key changes including increased parameters for capital requests and the introduction of three funding streams:
·Small grants: up to $10,000 per year to support local programs that enhance quality of life.
·Medium grants: up to $25,000 per project per year to address unmet or emerging community needs to a maximum of two years of funding per project.
·Large grants: over $25,000 per year for Council-approved community partners and organizations operating City-owned facilities or providing services to the community on behalf of the City.
·Capital grants: up to a maximum of 50 per cent of total project costs.
Funding allocation recommendations are based on community need and a community group’s ability to respond to that need.
