It's been a month since Strathmore resident Taura Fox Walker took part in the Push-Up Challenge.
The annual initiative is run by the Canadian Mental Health Organization (CMHA), and Fox Walker raised funds by doing 2,000 exercises between February 11 and 28.
"They had squats and crunches that you could do, as well. The app laid out how many each day, so we had different levels of challenges."
Throughout the program, Fox Walker was accepting donations for CMHA, with the funds helping to bring mental health services to more people across Canada.
She had a goal of $500 and raised $343 by the time the challenge ended.
"It was really amazing because I know we're in tough times, and it's a big deal for people when it's someone who matters to them."
Fox Walker added that she received a lot of support from her local knitting group.
"The idea of making a plan one row at a time, checking your work, trusting the process, leaning on your circle, and doing things for joy, was their advice for this. It applies to knitting, push-ups, and life."
Although the challenge is over, people can still show their support by donating to her campaign.
