There are several events residents can enjoy this weekend.
Community Mental Health Fair: Ryan Straschnitzki will speak about his journey following the Humboldt Broncos crash in 2018 that killed 16 people. The event runs on Saturday, March 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Chestermere Rec Centre.
Nail Trim at Pet Valu: Pet Valu and Rescued Paws at Alpine Foundation will host an adoption meet and greet for dogs. Nail trims will also be offered for donations to Rescued Paws. The event will be hosted on March 15 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Steve Pineo Concert: Musician Steve Pineo will play at the Strathmore United Church on March 15 at 7:30 p.m. He plays guitar, and slide harmonica, and is also the lead vocalist. Pineo has even written songs recorded by Paul Brandt and Prairie Oyster. The show will feature a nine-piece band.
Strathmore Ringette Try-It Event: Parents and kids can learn about the sport of ringette. The event will run on Sunday, March 16 from 2:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. at the Strathmore Family Centre.
Mad Hatters Cornhole Club League Play: The Mad Hatters Cornhole Club will host league play on March 16 at 2 p.m. at the Trinity Christian Academy Gymnasium. There will be a four-game round-robin format, followed by a double elimination playoff with partners.
