A long-standing figure at Roseau Valley School (RVS) will be taking on a leadership role, officially starting this fall.

Kerry Peterson, who has dedicated 17 years to the school in Dominion City, has been named Vice Principal.

Over the years, he has served in a number of roles including interim vice-principal, middle and senior years classroom teacher, and middle and senior years resource teacher.

As a passionate life-long learner, the Border Land School Division says Peterson is committed to fostering a collaborative environment where clear communication is key to driving school improvement, adding he is deeply committed to listening to students and ensuring they are engaged in meaningful and high-quality learning experiences.

His goal, added the Division, is to provide the necessary support to create an inclusive school environment where all individuals feel safe, respected, and valued.
