The Winnipeg Jets extended their winning streak to three games with a 3-2 overtime victory against the Seattle Kraken on Sunday night, thanks to Dylan Samberg’s game-winner just 1:47 into the extra period.

Cole Perfetti had a goal and an assist, while Kyle Connor also found the back of the net for Winnipeg.

Jets goaltender Eric Comrie was forced to leave the game in the first period after Seattle’s Matty Beniers crashed into the net. Connor Hellebuyck replaced Comrie while he underwent concussion protocol, but Comrie returned before the end of the opening frame.

Seattle jumps ahead early

Jani Nyman opened the scoring for Seattle at 9:58 of the first period, firing a power-play one-timer past Hellebuyck to make it 1-0. Michael Eyssimont doubled the lead at 15:23, scoring on Comrie shortly after his return.

Jets rally back

Perfetti cut the deficit to 2-1 just before the first intermission, burying a rebound from Samberg’s point shot at 19:43.

Connor pulled Winnipeg even at 11:42 of the second period, converting on a breakaway to make it 2-2.

With the game deadlocked in overtime, Samberg played the hero, beating Seattle netminder Joey Daccord at 1:47 to secure the victory.

Winnipeg improves to 47-17-4 and remains atop the NHL standings with 98 points—two ahead of the Washington Capitals, who have a game in hand.

The Jets continue their road trip Tuesday night in Vancouver against the Canucks.
