The Winnipeg Jets wrapped up their road trip with a 4-3 overtime win against the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday night, with four different players finding the back of the net.
Connor Hellebuyck made 21 saves in the victory, bouncing back after the Jets' 6-2 loss in Vancouver on Tuesday.
The Jets finished their three-game road trip with a 2-1 record and have now won four of their last five games. They are tied for first in the NHL with the Washington Capitals at 100 points, but the Capitals have a game in hand.
Back-and-forth battle in Edmonton
Jeff Skinner opened the scoring for the Oilers at 5:28 of the first period, capitalizing on a Jets turnover to beat Hellebuyck.
Winnipeg answered at 13:39, when Cole Perfetti buried a rebound off a Dylan Samberg shot to tie the game 1-1.

The Oilers suffered two significant losses in the game. Captain Connor McDavid left late in the second period with a lower-body injury. Then, goaltender Stuart Skinner was forced out at 15:03 of the third period for concussion protocol after a collision in the crease with Jets forward Gabriel Vilardi.
Hellebuyck makes history
With the win, Hellebuyck recorded his 40th victory of the season, becoming just the second U.S.-born goaltender in NHL history to have multiple 40-win seasons.
The only other goalie to accomplish the feat is Ryan Miller, who won 41 games in 2009-10 and 40 in 2006-07.
Hellebuyck previously set a career-high with 44 wins in 2017-18.
Jets return home for four-game stand
Winnipeg now returns to Canada Life Centre for a four-game homestand, beginning with a Sunday matinee against the Buffalo Sabres at 2 p.m.
The Jets will then face the Washington Capitals on Tuesday night. Alex Ovechkin, currently seven goals away from breaking Wayne Gretzky’s all-time NHL record of 894, will visit Winnipeg after Washington’s game against Florida on Saturday.
