The Humboldt District Hospital Foundation is hosting its annual Equip to Care Radiothon from March 24 to 27, bringing the community together to raise funds for critical hospital equipment upgrades.
With a fundraising goal of $905,750, the radiothon will be broadcast live, featuring interviews with healthcare professionals, donors, and community leaders who will highlight the impact of local support on patient care.
This year’s fundraising efforts will focus on a $550,000 upgrade to the hospital’s digital X-ray system, a $250,000 pharmacy renovation, and additional medical equipment, including laparoscopic scopes, a tub chair lift, and specialized wheelchairs.
Humboldt District Health Foundation Chair Aaron Behiel will kick off the event by discussing the foundation’s ongoing initiatives and making a special announcement about the future of the organization.
Throughout the radiothon, listeners will hear from experts across various hospital departments. Clinical Services Manager Brianne Ronvel will discuss the importance of chemotherapy services in Humboldt, while pharmacist Tara Watts will provide insight into the need for an upgraded clean room in the hospital’s pharmacy. Other healthcare professionals will share updates on emergency services, medical imaging, laboratory advancements, and home care programs.
Listeners are encouraged to tune in, learn more about the hospital’s needs, and make a contribution to support local healthcare.
