44-year-old Lanny Boser, pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including being unlawfully in a dwelling-house, theft, possession of property obtained by crime, criminal harassment, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

The charges stem from multiple incidents in rural Saskatchewan. In August 2024, Boser broke into a residence in Macklin, returning again in November. In October, he stole a Chevrolet truck, later recovered in Cutknife.

In December 2024, an alarm at a farm outside Denzil was triggered, with surveillance footage capturing Boser on the property. He was attempting to trade cigarettes for fuel. Later that afternoon, he was seen at another farmyard, where he stole tools before returning to the Denzil property that evening and stealing 700 litres of diesel fuel.

In January 2025, a victim discovered Boser inside his residence and later found gift cards missing. Police located Boser in a vehicle with a stolen licence plate at a farmhouse, where he had taken antique toys, which were confirmed as stolen by the property owner.

Boser received a 20-month conditional sentence to be served in his community of Maidstone. The sentence includes a prohibition on weapons, alcohol, and drugs, along with a curfew, mandatory counselling, and 25 hours of community service.
