Doug Raycroft will be taking another year to coach the Agra Risk Wheatland Kings.
The Kings made the announcement on social media earlier this month, saying that this will be the third year Raycroft has served as head coach.
"His dedication and vision have helped shape the teams on ice success, and we’re excited to build on this momentum moving forward," the Kings wrote.
Raycroft said the decision to continue his coaching career with the Strathmore-based hockey team took a lot of thought.
"It was one of those things I had to talk about with my family, because it's a big commitment," said Raycroft. "Making sure I had the time and commitment to do it was important."

The Kings just came off a historic season, making it farther into the playoffs than they ever had before, while also breaking the record for most wins in the regular season.
Raycroft said that he hopes to win a championship the following year.
"Every year we go in trying to win. That's the ultimate goal, so next year will be no different. The last three years with this team have been the best years for the organization."
Outside of coaching, Raycroft also serves as the principal of Strathmore High School.
