Strathmore's Peavey Mart shuts its doors for good

The Peavey Mart in Strathmore is officially closed.

Earlier this week the store's front doors were locked, with a sign out front saying that the hardware store is now permanently shut down.

It was announced earlier this year that all Peavey Mart locations in Canada would be closing down, with the organization citing declining profits along with changing market conditions as the reasons for the closures.

Starting in late January the Peavey Mart in Strathmore began to put inventory on discount as it slowly worked towards closure.

It's not known how many employees were affected by the store closing.
