Airdrie-Cochrane NDP candidate Sarah Zagoda wants to bring fresh leadership and integrity to federal politics.
The longtime Airdrie resident, mother of three, has 20 years of experience in the technology sector and works as a school technologist at Airdrie’s largest high school.
She ran for the NDP against Conservative Blake Richards in the 2021 election. She has since served as CEO of the federal Banff-Airdrie NDP and is president of the provincial Airdrie-East NDP.
“As an advocate for collaboration and honesty in government, I am stepping forward to ensure our voices are truly represented in Ottawa,” she said. “It’s time for leadership that listens, understands, and takes real action for our community.”
Her campaign focuses on strengthening public services, addressing affordability, and fostering government collaboration. Concerned about the rising cost of living, she advocates for policies that support families, workers, and small businesses.
Zagoda says elected representatives should work for their constituents, not against them. She supports policies that benefit Airdrie-Cochrane residents, regardless of party lines.
Proud of the NDP’s role in expanding dental care and pharmacare, she is committed to protecting and growing these programs so no family has to choose between health and financial stability.
“I believe in a Canada where everyone can thrive, built on fairness, opportunity, and community support,” she said.
