Welcome back to Made in Manitoba, and the final weekend of our month-long series showcasing Manitoba artists and performers nominated for 2025 Juno awards. Those awards are being handed out in Vancouver, with the big event Sunday night. We wrap up our special series with a return visit from Morden born Loreena McKennitt.

It came about in a surprising way, but Loreena is very grateful to have been nominated for a Juno for her latest album "The Road Back Home". The album was submitted for consideration by Universal Music, a label McKennitt's Quinlan Road works with. She was aware of it being put forward, but had forgotten about it until the news broke she was up for Traditional Roots Album of the Year. How that scenario played out will be part of our conversation tonight, while we also share music from "The Road Back Home", which was recorded almost as an afterthought as part of a Summer 2023 tour. Loreena McKennitt will tell us all about it as we get another Made in Manitoba Juno nominee special underway after this.
