Alberta’s producers to open doors for local food and farming experiences

It's a chance for residents to meet their rural farmers.

Alberta Open Farm Days will take place from Aug. 16-17.

"Mark your calendars for Alberta Open Farm Days, where farms across the province open their doors for a weekend of learning, connection, and local food. Visitors can tour working farms, meet Alberta’s amazing producers, and enjoy farm-fresh experiences," said Wheatland County.

According to the Alberta government, more than 150 farms opened their doors to over 52,000 visitors in 2024.

"On-farm sales surpassed $300,000 for the first time, highlighting that visitors are eager to support Alberta's agricultural industry," said a release from the province.

Farms can sign up by April 30.
