Calgary resident Laszlo Kovacs is now a millionaire.

“I couldn’t believe it,” said Kovacs. “I was jumping up and down inside.”

According to a release from the Western Canada Lottery Corporation, Kovacs held onto his ticket for several months during the cold winter.

“I’m glad I kept the receipt,” he joked. “It helped me remember all the details months later.”

Kovacs isn't planning anything big for his new prize winnings.

“I was raised to save my money,” he explained. “I may go on a trip though; I would love to go to Croatia.”

He said he also wants to catch a soccer game overseas

“I still can’t wrap my head around it—it definitely makes life easier.”

Kovacs will also share his winnings with his cat, Muci.
