SaskTel released another list of locations that they'll be expanding 5G service into, which will include communities and highway areas in east central Saskatchewan.

The latest increase comes as part of SaskTel’s current initiative to deliver faster connectivity to rural areas.

"SaskTel’s 5G network is delivering for the people of Saskatchewan by transforming how they connect, work, and access vital services," said Jeremy Harrison, Minister Responsible for SaskTel. "This cutting-edge technology goes beyond faster data speeds—it empowers individuals, businesses, and industries with the tools they need to succeed in an increasingly digital world."

Harrison said that the upgrades will also help with healthcare, online learning, and agricultural resources in those rural areas.

In the southeast, some of the areas seeing better access to 5G include Fishing Lake First Nation, St. Gregor, Naicam, Wadena and Watson
