Big Daddy Weave's new album and project, Let It Begin, will be released later this spring.

The Christian band last released their album, When The Light Comes, in 2019. After this, one of their beloved band members, Jay Weaver, passed away unexpectedly. Weaver, the brother of lead singer Mike Weaver, was only 42 years old when he died, leaving behind his wife and their three children.

As a tribute to Jay, the new album has a song dedicated to Weaver called "Jaybird."

"It’s been quite the journey to get to this time, but we couldn’t be more thankful to tell you our new album Let It Begin is releasing May 23," says Big Daddy Weave on Facebook. "We’ll be sharing lots of stories and music with you leading up to release day."

The new album, which contains well-known singles such as "Heaven Changes Everything," "God Is In This Story (feat. Katy Nichole)," as well as the title track "Let it Begin," will have 15 songs on it.

The band is currently on their Let it Begin tour alongside Ben Fuller and Megan Woods.
