The Ponoka Chamber of Commerce has cancelled the Ponoka-Didsbury All-Candidates Forum, due to candidates unable to confirm attendance. 

The candidates for the Ponoka-Didsbury riding, as of April 8, are:

  • Grant Abraham, United Party of Canada
  • Blaine Calkins, Conservative Party of Canada
  • Larry Gratton, People’s Party of Canada
  • Logan Hooley, NDP
  • Zarnab Zafar, No Affiliation

Election day is April 28, with advance voting taking place April 18 - 21.

The Ponoka & District Chamber of Commerce was hosting an All-Candidates Forum for the Ponoka-Didsbury Riding.

The forum was going to focus on key issues impacting the local community, providing insights into each candidate’s platform and vision for the region, followed by a question and answer period. 

“This event is an essential opportunity for voters to engage with the candidates and hear their plans for our community and our country,” said Sherry Gummow, President of the Ponoka & District Chamber of Commerce. “We encourage all residents of Ponoka and Ponoka County to attend and be part of the democratic process.”

The candidates for the Ponoka-Didsbury riding, as of April 2, are:

  • Grant Abraham, United Party of Canada
  • Blaine Calkins, Conservative Party of Canada
  • Larry Gratton, People’s Party of Canada
  • Logan Hooley, NDP
