It’s no secret that money is tight for many people, as the cost of living is on the rise. Swooping in to save the day, Swift Deals has arrived in Moose Jaw!
As you might have guessed, Swift Deals started in Swift Current, and swiftly outgrew their space.
“Swift Current was getting a little too small for us. Our store was only 2700 square feet. Now we look around our store in Moose Jaw and wonder how we fit it all in the Swift location,” says Manager Gaby Pleau. “We needed more room. We found out Moose Jaw was losing a liquidation store, so we took the leap.”
Pleau says they’re constantly putting out new stock, as new loads arrive nearly every week, with massive savings on a huge variety – everything from air fryers, appliances, vacuums, lights, anything for your home.
“The store is never the same. You can come in today and leave for two hours and come back and it's completely different,” shares Pleau. “It all comes from a very good, very well-known retailer – and we go through and test everything, then put it out on the shelves at 20 to 40 percent off the regular retail price.”
Swift Deals aims to keep prices low enough to give people some budget relief, and each of the appliances they sell comes with a five-day warranty.
“We test everything in the store, but if you get home, you're using it, and within an hour it overheats or doesn't work properly, bring it back within five days and we will exchange or give in-store credit,” assures Pleau.
Shoppers can also exchange clothing within five days as long as the tags are intact.
“You can't always try on the clothes in the store,” Pleau points out. “Maybe it's a gift for your mom, or your kids. You take the item home, have them try it on, and if it doesn’t fit, bring it in for an exchange with the tags still on.”
Pleau says the savings increase for servicemen and servicewomen, who receive another ten percent off.
“I know it's not easy to be a serviceperson – so we want to say thank you to those brave people.”
On top of all that, Swift Deals are also offering a senior special of ten percent off on the first Tuesday of every month.
The fun and the savings just keeps on coming! Pleau says that if you visit Swift Deals on your birthday, you can draw for a percentage off your purchase up to $50. They also offer draws for special occasions.
“Right now with Easter coming up, when you spend $70 or more in-store, you’re entered into a draw for a basket of chocolate,” notes Pleau. “Getting ready for spring, we’re offering 15% off all our winter items in-store. And we always try to work with people on our big items. We might not go 50% off our price, but we do try to barter a little bit on the bigger items.”
Swift Deals also offers a loyalty program – spend $50 or more in-store to receive a stamp. Once you have ten stamps, you’ll get ten percent off your next purchase up to $1000 before tax.
And starting this September, they’re giving all college and university students ten percent off everyday household goods.
“We know how expensive it is to go to school,” notes Pleau. “So we want to make it a little lighter for students. They'll have to show ID that they’re in school for this year, and we will give ten percent off everyday stuff like food and clothing.”

“We hold product,” reveals Pleau. “We’re on Facebook at Swift Deals. That's where we put all our sales and items. So if you see something you want, give us a call at 306-315-5339. We hold items for 24 hours until you can get here.”
Swift Deals is open Tuesday-Friday 10am-6pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am-5pm, and Mondays noon ‘til 4pm. Find them on Thatcher Drive, across from Superstore.
