Former We The Kingdom lead singer Franni Cash has officially returned to the music scene, this time as a solo artist.
Cash signed a record deal with Capital Christian Music Group this week, the same label as Chris Tomlin, Anne Wilson, TobyMac, Kari Jobe, Crowder, and other great Christian artists.
In fall 2023, Cash announced she would be leaving her family band to pursue other opportunities.
"God has been prompting a change of seasons in my heart, and I will be honoring that," said Cash in a social media post that went up two years ago.
Since then, Franni has sung on collaborations, including one with TobyMac. She also took a risk and took on a few acting roles in the Christmas musical Carol and the survival thriller film, Hazel.
This week, there have been hints that Franni was pursuing a solo career, with snippets of a new song on social media and a photo with the caption 'New era, new sound. Who's in?'
“We are so happy to be Franni Cash’s partner for this next chapter of her career as a solo artist,” said CCMG’s President Brad O’Donnell. “She’s a special person with an incredible voice, and we can’t wait to see the impact her music will have on the world.”
It's unclear when her first solo album will be released. However, Franni is slated for one of her first-ever solo performances on Friday, July 18, at the Alive Fest in Ohio.
