Worship leader and songwriter Jon Reddick has given an update on his wife's health.

Late last month, he announced that his wife, Rebecca, was diagnosed with early-onset colon cancer.

"The diagnosis is positive as it was hopefully detected early enough," said Reddick when the discovery was made. "This is a deeply personal diagnosis as Rebecca lost her dad to colon cancer at this same age, so as you can imagine, we are extremely grateful for this early diagnosis and surgery."

On Friday, Reddick updated fans and followers, letting them know Rebecca was home and doing well.

"We are so incredibly grateful for everyone’s prayers and check-ins with our family," said Reddick in a post on Instagram. "We also have amazing news to praise! The path report came back, and every lymph node came back CANCER FREE!"

Reddick says that doctors were able to successfully remove all of the colon cancer, and because of that, she will not have to undergo any additional treatment at this time.

"Even her doctor was surprised that each of these 51 lymph nodes was negative. We are so grateful that due to her family’s history, Rebecca was proactive and got tested early."

The Reddicks are now hoping their journey will help others, and they are urging others who may have concerns or a history of colon cancer in their family to contact their medical provider.

"We know not everyone gets to wrap up their cancer diagnosis with surgery and not need additional treatment, and for those in that situation, we cover you in prayer. We know the power in community and prayer for us, and pray His Spirit continue to be with you as well."

Jon says they are so thankful for everyone who has poured into their family over the last few weeks.

"The community of faith is so beautiful, and we witnessed that over and over. You all are amazing. Thank you and High Praise to the Lord!!"
