Additional human remains discovered in Gaetz Lakes Sanctuary in Red Deer

Red Deer RCMP are confirming that they have discovered the remainder of the human remains that were found in Gaetz Lakes Sanctuary. 

Police first received a report of human remains found at the site on March 29.

The public was advised to avoid the area while officials conducted a search of the region.

The remains have been transported to the Calgary Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. 

RCMP continue to work with the medical examiner to identify the individual.

Police say there is no evidence to suggest that the death is suspicious.
