The health of a former reality TV star continues to "not be good."
In December 2024, Jase Robertson shared that his father, Phil Robertson from Duck Dynasty, was facing health problems.
Jase recently shared in Unashamed With the Robertson Family that the approach for his father's condition is to "make him as comfortable as possible."
In December 2024, Will Robertson shared that his father has a blood disorder which can potentially lead to ministrokes, as well as early signs consistent with Alzheimer’s disease.
As his health continues to decline, Willie said that Phil had severe appetite issues. He would cook some of his favourite meals including hamburgers and crawfish, to encourage him to eat.
While the Robertson family continues to explore all possible medical care options for Phil, another Robertson's health is starting to improve.
Kay Robertson had been hospitalized after an infection came from a fall-related injury. When the incident happened, Jase said his family was preparing for the end. "We were kinda dealing with the fact that maybe this is it.”
While she remains in the hospital, her health has notably stabilized and improved in recent days, leading to looking ahead to rehabilitation and physical therapy.
Phil and Kay originally gained attention through the reality series Duck Dynasty. The show was recently announced to being rebooted and will be released this summer.
Following his families success, Robertson credits everything to their faith in Jesus and devotion to living a Christian lifestyle.
“Fame is rather fleeting, as you know, or should know,” he said in an interview. “Money can come and go, and fame comes and goes. Peace of mind and a relationship with God is far more important, so this is the precedent that we’ve set in our lives. The bottom line is, we all die, so Jesus is the answer. Many have told me through the years: ‘I think I’ll take my chances without Jesus.’ And I always come back and say, ‘so what chance is that?’”
