MacDonald, Reuben age 91, of Swift Current, Saskatchewan passed away on March 24, 2025 at Cypress House. The graveside service was held at 2:00 pm, on Thursday April 10, 2025 at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Swift Current, with Pastor Patti Sherk officiating.
Reuben is survived by; Brothers Charlie (Annabelle) Hazzard and Bill (Dorothy) Hazzard of Medicine Hat, Alberta, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Reuben was predeceased by: Wife Mary MacDonald in 1999. Sisters Violet (Orval) Willows, Sarah Georgina (Ronald) Harrison, and Margaret (Dan) Teichroeb. Mother Celia Hazzard, Father Reuben MacDonald, and Step-Father Charles Hazzard.
Reuben was born in Tompkins, Saskatchewan on January 29, 1934. He attended school in Tompkins and Oman and W.A Beatty High School in Swift Current, and continued his education through correspondence.
Reuben married Mary Leslie of Rosetown, Saskatchewan.
Reuben was an engineer at the Palliser Regional Care Centre until his retirement.
He was member of the bowling league in Swift Current, Reuben loved to putter around and fix anything electrical, and also doing some wood work. Reuben also took his 5th wheel trailer on a yearly camping trip to Cypress Hills, which he very much enjoyed. In later years he made daily trips to the Living Sky Casino in Swift Current, to try his luck. More times than not, he came out a winner.
